Roe v. Wade or My Right Foot?

My stupid-ass back has me mixing bodily metaphors and stuck in my PJs.

And clearly bored.

My oldest is out with the ski patrol this morning. Maggie took him at 7am. Maggie was also up throughout the night with my daughter, who is running a fever. So, everyone say a collective "Go, Maggie!" She's being supermom.

I think she's a little pissed off at me for hurting my back. She said "This time, you are going for physical therapy." I'm not arguing with her. While it's not my fault that I hurt myself, I think if I had kept up the diet, yoga, etc., I probably wouldn't have done it. Bleah.

Plus, running season is starting. I have four races scheduled over the next two months. I've got to recuperate, baby!

Oh. Almost forgot: the South Dakota legislature just banned abortions, which might well lead to our Bush-enabled Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade. Just wanted to mention this, for those of you keeping score on Bush v the U.S. Constitution.

Love to all. Even you, whoever makes this useless drug.

argh! damn those anti-abortion people! I mean, it's not like they are going to stop them! I'm begining to dislike Bush very intently for messing with my freedoms. 'Course, now if you google me, that remark will come up which could be bad for business, but hey, freedom of speech, right? right? hmm.

Ouch. Go to a chiropractor. They'll give you back-strenghthening exercises and stretches and stuff. Just make sure they x-ray your spine first. The ones that don't are dangerous.

Physio helps too, but chiro gets things into the right places so that it's less painful in the long run. :)

Don't get me started on the abortion thing, we've just been there done that here in aussie land with the recent vote about control of RU-486..my soapbox is a mess after all my jumping up and down and ranting and raving! Take it easy...

While I don't agree w/the SD law, I don't believe RvsW was itself constitutional.
IMHO, it was bench-side legeslation, which is a dangerous practice.
But like I said, I don't agree w/SD banning them, so I guess I'm a wee bit torn.

Debambam - for most people, you're totally right on. Sadly, me + alchohol = bad news. So I'm stuck with the crappy usely drugs.

Jennie: Do you think abortion should be a protected right at the national level?

Gosh, talk about two different comments right there.

I'm not saying abortion shouldn't be protected, I think that the safety of women depends on monitoring it, just like any other surgical procedure.
However, that doesn't make RvsW a constitutionally correct ruling.
Lol, I might sound like I'm contradicting myself here, I just really despise it when the judges manage to "find" things in the consitution that just are not there.

Yeah, I'm bummed and scared about the South Dakota thing. Maybe people will get off their bums and stop prancing around like Roe v. Wade is invincible. I can't tell you how many people I've talked to since Bush's second election said, "Oh, it'll never happen."

By the way, you're pajamas ROCK! Sorry about your back. I'm a big fan of chiropracters.

Maybe we should just let the individual states decide like the Constitution intended.

"Like the Constitution intended," is a pretty big assumption there, compadre.
