At 5:18am Eastern, my boxer shorts were attacked and killed by a kitten.
Fortunately, I was not wearing them at the time.

Kittens can be very dangerous.
Good thing you were not wearing the boxer shorts. Bad thing is, kittens love all dangly objects, so you better keep some boxers on..
